The Curriculum
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Vidyalaya, Borivli, emphasizes age appropriate, stress-free and student-friendly education, focused on the all-round development of students. The school philosophy is imparted to all staff through induction programmes, guidelines for personal and professional conduct, and through training and up-gradation programmes. The school is affiliated to Maharashtra State Secondary Board (SSC).
Pre-Primary education is through the play-way system where in the activities shift as per the students’ ability. The environment in the Pre-Primary classroom is relaxed and stress free which encourages exploration and discovery.
Primary education follows the process ‘learning by doing’ and of continuous evaluations for students. There are no formal tests and examinations till Std. IV.
- The focus of the evaluations is to provide information to the teacher about the individual progress of each student and does not cause anxiety or stress for students.
Secondary education: The curriculum in the secondary section focuses on helping the student apply competencies acquired to new learning. The student is encouraged to take more responsibility for his / her learning and is provided numerous opportunities to explore his / her potential and ability in different fields.
We believe that a successful student is one who is able to maximize his/her potential during school life. Co-curricular subjects and many related activities involve the growth of all areas of a student’s life - the cognitive, social, emotional and the physical aspect. These activities enhance the holistic development of our students.
